The next leg of our trip is Margaret River and we chose to stay in Margarets Forest Holiday Apartments, one of the leading luxury apartment accommodations equipped with state-of-the-art amenities that guarantee a comfortable stay for guests.
Furthermore, its strategic location that is adjacent to the beautiful state forest offers easy access to many of the spectacular attractions and recreational facilities in the area. These include local wine bars, exotic restaurants, shopping, art galleries and gourmet supermarkets among others. What’s more, guests can enjoy the pleasures of a homely feel while staying in the luxurious, self contained villas. Take a walk downhill to explore the river and forests, where you can enjoy the serenity and get up close and personal with Mother Nature. Did I also mention that the famous Margaret River bakery is located just opposite this apartment?
Also, the apartment also offers in house entertainment for their guests such as books, DVDs, board games at no charges. They also give valuable advice (to drive through caves road to enjoy the beautiful greenery) to our itinerary especially when we told them that we will be visiting the Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse.
Since there are five of us, we have booked the spacious two-storey spa apartments. This apartment comes with a separate bathroom with spa bath; the master bedroom features a King bed with TV and a balcony offering nice views of the surrounding environment while the second bedroom features a King bed and a single bed. Also, there is one toilet on each level and a separate washing machine and dryer in a laundry room.
This apartment has a well equipped kitchen where we can make our own dinner daily as you might be aware that dinning out is very expensive in Australia. A meal will easily cost AUD70 for 5 persons. However, we can get fresh foods from supermarkets to cook such as broccoli, etc at an incredible price. A bunch of broccoli at AUD1.99, this will at least cost SGD5.50 in Singapore.

Below are some places which we have visited during our trip:
- Sunflowers Animal Farm
We recommend you to be there early for the bottle feeding for the calf and lamb as it will be a good experience for the children ( see below for the time of bottle feeding). Bucket of animal food can be purchased at AUD3.00.

- Voyager Estate Winery

- Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse
We drive via the caves road (tourist drive) to Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse to enjoy the beautiful green forestry. It is such a pity that it is drizzling the time when we arrived. However, this does not stop us. We still went ahead with our plan. Please bring along a poncho if you plan to visit this place as the staffs mentioned that it rain very often at this area.
Address : Leeuwin Rd, Augusta WA 6290
Once again, we really enjoyed our stay in Margaret river as we plan to visit this scenic place again soon !
