3M Post-It Super Sticky Dry Erase Surface
It has always been my desire since I was a child to have a whiteboard; the bigger the better, at home. The thought of me being able to freely express my thoughts in words or by doodling them on a whiteboard never fails to bring a smile to my face. Fast forward to now being a mother of two little ones, I still entertain thoughts of having a whiteboard at home. As a mum though, the desire of having it is more for either jotting down notes/timelines (environmentally friendly as it can be erased & reused) or for coaching/creating activities with my kids. It is also a fantastic idea that they can doodle freely on the whiteboard which allows creativity as well as just the fun of doodling on the whiteboard!
Nonetheless, I often shudder at the thought of having nail holes dotting my walls and as such I have been restricted to buying small sized whiteboard which is usually lighter in weight and requires no nails to hang on the walls. The aforementioned ‘aesthetic’ reason has for years, been the main drawback for me in investing in a large classroom sized whiteboard.
When I was introduced to 3M’s Post-it Super Sticky Dry Erase Surface, I thought it is pretty interesting and decided to give it a try.
It is easy to use, just peel and stick. It transforms any suitable surfaces instantly into a whiteboard, importantly with no hardware tools required! It is designed to stick to a variety of surfaces; listed as painted drywall, steel surfaces, glass, finished wood, and existing whiteboards or chalkboards. Utilizing a proprietary dry erase coating, the Post-it Super Sticky Dry Erase Surface is stain-proof, erases cleanly every time and writes smoothly. It can be easily applied on horizontal surfaces such as desks or tables or vertical surfaces such as glass, where traditional whiteboards cannot be installed. I am very impressed with its ability to be applied even on glass surface.
I particularly like the fact that the Post-it Super Sticky Dry Erase Surface can be cut-to-fit, thus giving the upmost flexibility required. You can paste it on doors, cupboards, entire wall or even on tables, and let your child draw freely. You can even peel it off and move it to another place as you wish to. I have tried peeling it off to adjust its position and my wall seems fine. It lifts off some of the limitations I have faced with a traditional whiteboard. Another plus point is the fact that it fits on the surface of your existing fixtures; no additional space required!
Currently, I have it pasted on the wall where my kids can have easy access to and it is so convenient. I can easily write out and prepare some activities on the Post-it Super Sticky Dry Erase Surface for my child. My older child can just pick up a marker to doodle or practice her spelling.
